আগামী দুই মাসের মধ্যে না’গঞ্জকে বাল্য বিবাহমুক্ত করা হবে: ডিসি
প্রতিনিধি, প্রেসবাংলা২৪.কম: নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলা প্রশাসক মো. মঞ্জরুল হাফিজ বলেছেন, বাল্যবিবাহে জড়িতদের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর ব্যবস্থা নেয়া হবে। সেই সঙ্গে আগামী দুই মাসের মধ্যে নারায়ণগঞ্জকে বাল্য বিবাহমুক্ত করা হবে। এজন্য যা যা করণীয় তাই করা হবে। এজন্য তিনি বাল্য বিবাহ প্রতিরোধে কাজীদের সহায়তা চেয়েছেন।
বৃহস্পতিবার (১১ মে) দুপুরে নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলা প্রশাসকের সম্মেলন কক্ষে আয়োজিত এক কর্মশালায় তিনি এসব কথা বলেন।
বাল্যবিবাহ নিরোধ কমিটির সঙ্গে বাল্যবিবাহ নিরোধ আইন ২০১৭, বাল্যবিবাহ নিরোধ বিধিমালা ২০১৮, জাতীয় কর্ম পরিকল্পনা ২০১৮-২০৩০, শিশু সুরক্ষা ও জেন্ডার সমতা বিষয়ক রিফেশার্স প্রশিক্ষণ এই কর্মশালা প্লান ইন্টারন্যাশনাল বাংলাদেশের সহযোগিতায় আহছানিয়া মিশন আয়োজন করেন।
কর্মশালার এক পর্যায়ে বাল্য বিবাহ প্রতিরোধে কাজী ও হিন্দু বিবাহ নিবন্ধকদের শপথ বাক্য পাঠ করানো হয়। কর্মশালায় জেলা বিভিন্ন এলাকার দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত কাজীরা অংশ নিয়েছেন।
জেলা প্রশাসক বলেন, নারায়ণগঞ্জ থেকে সকল প্রকার বাল্যবিবাহ, ভ’য়া কাজী, বিবাহেরনামে অবৈধ পন্থায় নারী পাচার, অবৈধভাবে বিবাহ করে বৌ সাজিয়ে তাকে পাচার করে দেয়া এই ধরনের কার্যক্রম নারায়ণগঞ্জে ইদানিং বেড়ে গেছে। এসকল কার্যক্রম প্রতিরোধ করতে, আজ আপনাদের ডেকেছি।
তিনি আরও বলেন, আমরা সম্প্রতি একজন কাজীকে বাল্যবিবাহের অপরাধে গ্রেপ্তার করে কারাগারে পাঠানোর ব্যবস্থা করেছি। শুধু তাই নয়, যে কোন অপরাধ নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলা প্রশাসনের নজরে আসলে তাৎক্ষনিক ব্যবস্থা নেয়া হয়। মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর পক্ষে এবং তাঁর নির্দেশে আমরা কাজ করি। এই দেশটাকে সোনার বাংলা বানাতে হবে। স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ বানাতে হবে। স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ বানানোর পক্ষে কথা বলবেন আর অবৈধ বিবাহ দিবেন, বিয়ের নাম করে পাচার করে দিবেন এটা হতে দেয়া হবে না। অবৈধ প্রক্রিয়ায় বাল্যবিবাহের নামে শত শত মেয়েরা পাচার হয়ে গিয়ে ধর্ষণের শিকার হচ্ছে, আপনার কারণে আমাদের কারণে আমরা অবজারভার করিনা বলে শত শত বাচ্চা মেয়েকে অবৈধ কাগজপত্র তৈরী করে বিবাহ দিয়ে দিচ্ছেন। এটা চলতে পারে না। তাহলে আমরা স্মার্ট বাংলাদেশ গড়বো কিভাবে?
কর্মশালার প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন, জেলা প্রশাসক মো. মঞ্জুরুল হাফিজ। এসময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলা অতিরিক্ত মৌসুমী বাইন হীরা, জেলা রেজিস্টার খন্দকার জামিলুর রহমান, জেলা কাজী সমিতির সভাপতি ইসলাম মিয়া ও সাধারণ সম্পাদক নজরুল ইসলাম বাবুলসহ জেলা প্রশাসনের বিভিন্ন পর্যায়ের কর্মকর্তারা।
