প্রতিবেদক, প্রেসবাংলা২৪.কম: দেশের আকাশে কোথাও পবিত্র রমজান মাসের চাঁদ দেখা যায়নি। এ কারণে বৃহস্পতিবার (২৩ মার্চ) শাবান মাস ৩০ দিন পূর্ণ হবে। আগামী ২৪ মার্চ (শুক্রবার) পবিত্র রমজান মাস গণনা শুরু হবে বলে জানিয়েছে ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন।
বুধবার (২২ মার্চ) সন্ধ্যায় জাতীয় মসজিদ বায়তুল মোকাররমের ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনের সভাকক্ষে চাঁদ দেখার সংবাদ পর্যালোচনা করে এ সিদ্ধান্ত জানায় জাতীয় চাঁদ দেখা কমিটির সভাপতি ও ধর্ম প্রতিমন্ত্রী ফরিদুল হক খান।
এর আগে সন্ধ্যা সাড়ে ৬টায় (বাদ মাগরিব) জাতীয় চাঁদ দেখা কমিটির সভা বসে। ধর্মবিষয়ক প্রতিমন্ত্রী মো. ফরিদুল হক খান সভায় সভাপতিত্ব করেন।
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনের সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানানো হয়, বাংলাদেশের আকাশে বুধবার (২২ মার্চ) কোথাও ১৪৪৪ হিজরি সনের পবিত্র রমজান মাসের চাঁদ দেখা যায়নি। এ কারণে বৃহস্পতিবার রমজান মাস ৩০ দিন পূর্ণ হবে। আগামী ২৪ মার্চ থেকে পবিত্র রমজান মাস গণনা শুরু হবে।
সভায় ১৪৪৪ হিজরি সনের পবিত্র রমজান মাসের চাঁদ দেখা সম্পর্কে সব জেলা প্রশাসন, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনের প্রধান কার্যালয়, বিভাগীয় ও জেলা কার্যালয়, বাংলাদেশ আবহাওয়া অধিদপ্তর এবং মহাকাশ গবেষণা ও দূর অনুধাবন প্রতিষ্ঠান থেকে পাওয়া তথ্য পর্যালোচনা করে চাঁদ দেখা না যাওয়ার বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করা হয়।
সৌদি আরবসহ মধ্যপ্রাচ্যের বিভিন্ন দেশে মঙ্গলবার চাঁদ দেখা যায়নি। ফলে সেখানে রোজা শুরু হচ্ছে আগামীকাল বৃহস্পতিবার। এ হিসেবে আগেই ধারণা করা হচ্ছিল দেশের আকাশে আজ রমজানের চাঁদ দেখা যাবে না। সাধারণত সৌদি আরবের একদিন পর দেশের আকাশে রোজা ও ঈদের চাঁদ ওঠে।
মুসলমানদের কাছে রমজান সংযম, আত্মশুদ্ধি ও ত্যাগের মাস। রহমত (আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ), মাগফেরাত (ক্ষমা) ও নাজাত (দোজখের আগুন থেকে মুক্তি)- এই তিন অংশে বিভক্ত এই মাস। সুবহে সাদিক থেকে সূর্যাস্ত পর্যন্ত পানাহার, স্ত্রী-সহবাস ও যেকোনো ধরনের পাপ কাজ থেকে বিরত থাকার মাধ্যমে রোজা পালন করেন মুসলমানরা। এ মাসের শেষ অংশে রয়েছে হাজার মাসের ইবাদতের চেয়েও উত্তম কদরের রাত।
ইসলাম ধর্ম অনুযায়ী, এ মাসে প্রতিটি নেক আমলের সওয়াব আল্লাহ পাক রব্বুল আলামিন সাত থেকে ৭০ গুণ পর্যন্ত বাড়িয়ে দেন। রমজান শেষে পালিত হয় মুসলমানদের অন্যতম বড় ধর্মীয় উৎসব ঈদুল ফিতর।
