পাতালরেল নির্মাণকাজের উদ্বোধন বৃহস্পতিবার
প্রতিনিধি, প্রেসবাংলা২৪.কম: দেশের প্রথম মেট্রোরেল চালু হয়েছে এক মাসের বেশি সময় আগে। এটি চলছে আগারগাঁও থেকে উত্তরা পর্যন্ত। এবার যা বিমানবন্দর থেকে কমলাপুর পর্যন্ত নির্মাণ হচ্ছে পাতালরেল। বৃহস্পতিবার রাজধানীর পূর্বাচল নতুন শহর প্রকল্প এলাকায় পাতালরেল নির্মাণকাজের উদ্বোধন করবেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা।
পাতালরেল হচ্ছে ম্যাস র্যাপিড ট্রানজিট (এমআরটি-১) প্রকল্পের আওতায়। এটি বাস্তবায়ন করবে ঢাকা ম্যাস ট্রানজিট কোম্পানি লিমিটেড (ডিএমটিসিএল)। এরই মধ্যে নারায়ণগঞ্জের পিতলগঞ্জে মেট্রোরেলের ডিপো নির্মাণে ঠিকাদারি প্রতিষ্ঠানের সঙ্গে চুক্তি সই করেছে ডিএমটিসিএল। এ প্রকল্পের মোট ব্যয় ধরা হয়েছে ৫২ হাজার ৫৬১ কোটি টাকা। এর মধ্যে জাপানি ঋণ ৩৯ হাজার ৪৫০ কোটি টাকা। বাকি অর্থ সরকারি তহবিল থেকে মেটানো হবে।
প্রকল্প সূত্র জানায়, দ্বিতীয় মেট্রোরেল হবে উড়াল ও পাতাল পথের সমন্বয়ে। দুটি রুটে ৩১ দশমিক ২৪ কিলোমিটার দীর্ঘ এমআরটি লাইন-১ নির্মাণ হবে। এর মধ্যে বিমানবন্দর থেকে কমলাপুর পর্যন্ত মাটির নিচ দিয়ে চলবে রেল। এটি ১৯ দশমিক ৮৭ কিলোমিটার দীর্ঘ রুট। এই রুটে স্টেশন হবে মোট ১২টি। এগুলো হলো- বিমানবন্দর, বিমানবন্দর টার্মিনাল-৩, খিলক্ষেত, যমুনা ফিউচার পার্ক, নতুন বাজার, উত্তর বাড্ডা, বাড্ডা, হাতিরঝিল, রামপুরা, মালিবাগ, রাজারবাগ ও কমলাপুর। আর পূর্বাচল রুটে নতুন বাজার স্টেশনটি হবে পাতালে।
নতুন বাজার থেকে পূর্বাচলের নারায়ণগঞ্জের পিতলগঞ্জ পর্যন্ত ১১ দশমিক ৩৬ কিলোমিটার হবে উড়ালপথে। এ রুটে স্টেশন হবে ৯টি। এগুলো হলো- নতুন বাজার, যমুনা ফিউচার পার্ক, বসুন্ধরা, পুলিশ অফিসার্স হাউজিং সোসাইটি, মাস্তুল, পূর্বাচল পশ্চিম, পূর্বাচল সেন্টার, পূর্বাচল পূর্ব, পূর্বাচল টার্মিনাল ও পিতলগঞ্জ ডিপো।
এই প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়নের মেয়াদ ২০১৯ সালের সেপ্টেম্বর থেকে ২০২৬ সালের ডিসেম্বর পর্যন্ত। এটি নির্মাণ হলে দৈনিক আট লাখ যাত্রী চলাচল করতে পারবে।
এ বিষয়ে মঙ্গলবার রাজধানীর এলিফ্যান্ট রোডে ঢাকা ম্যাস ট্রানজিট কোম্পানি লিমিটেডের সভাকক্ষে সাংবাদিকদের সঙ্গে কথা বলেন ডিএমটিসিএল-এর এমডি এমএএন সিদ্দিক।
তিনি বলেন, ২ ফেব্রুয়ারি পাতালরেল নির্মাণকাজের উদ্বোধন উপলক্ষে রূপগঞ্জ জমতা উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় সংলগ্ন রাজউকের কমার্শিয়াল প্লট মাঠে সভা হবে। রূপগঞ্জের পিতলগঞ্জ মৌজায় ৮৮ দশমিক ৭১ একর ভূমিতে ডিপো হবে। এখাতে ব্যয় হবে ৬০৭ কোটি ৬৫ লাখ টাকা। বিমানবন্দর রুট ও পূর্বাচল রুটে চলাচলকারী সব মেট্রো ট্রেন এই ডিপোর সুবিধা ব্যবহার করতে পারবে।
এমএএন সিদ্দিক বলেন, পিতলগঞ্জে মেট্রোরেলের ডিপো নির্মাণের মধ্য দিয়ে পাতাল রেলের কাজ শুরু হবে। এমআরটি-১ প্রকল্প দুটি অংশে বাস্তবায়িত হবে। একটি অংশ হবে পাতাল ও অপরটি হবে উড়াল। দুটি অংশের মূল ডিপো নির্মাণের কাজের ঠিকাদার প্রতিষ্ঠানের সঙ্গে চুক্তি সই হয়েছে।
